From 5 to 9 October, Antonio Sotos will travel to the Cologne, Germany, to attend a new edition of Anuga, the world’s largest trade fair for the food and beverage industry.

Anuga 2019 will be one of its most special editions indeed, as the trade fair celebrates its 100th anniversary. More than 7,400 exhibitors, from over one hundred countries, an industry meeting point where the objective is to analyse the latest industry trends, advertise our products globally, foster the creation of synergies and to seek new ideas to meet consumer needs.

Anuga 2019 continues to be the trade fair among trade fairs. And with different areas of specialisation, such as Fine Food, delicatessen and gourmet products; Frozen Food, frozen foods; Meat, meat and charcuterie; Chilled & Fresh Food, fresh convenience items; Dairy, dairy products and its derivatives; Bread & Bakery, bread and bakery products; Drinks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages; Organic, bio products; Hot Beverages, coffee, tea and cocoa in hot beverages format; and Culinary Concepts, a venue reserved for sharing ideas, innovations and fostering professional networking.

Likewise, this 36th edition of the trade fair will feature several distinct areas such as ‘Organic Market’, a supermarket that in its last edition grouped over 1,500 organic products; ‘Trend Zone’, where the latest results of research carried out on the food and beverage industry will be presented by the Innova Market Insights consultancy firm; ‘Halal Market’, concentrating on halal certified products; ‘Start-up Area’, which will be held for the first time and where start-ups from over 20 countries which will showcase their innovations and seek to garner industry attention; ‘Taste Innovation Show’, a space in which to observe the most innovative products of the trade fair; ‘Culinary Stage’, where there will be conferences and live cooking shows; and ‘Horizon 2050’, which will focus on five thematic topics with panel discussions, presentations and best practice examples that will highlight the opportunities and challenges facing the food industry over the next 50 years.
