- 500 g chopped chicken breast.
- Antonio Sotos saffron strands.
- 2 cucumbers
- Boiled potato.
- 10 or 12 dried tomatoes.
- Endive.
- Sweet red bell pepper.
- ½ teaspoon of turmeric.
- Cheddar cheese slices.
- Mayonnaise
- Salt.
- Pepper.
Hamburgers elaboration
The first thing to do is to prepare the saffron, as it takes longer to make, that’s why the strands are placed into a spoonful of hot water for steeping. Once the saffron has released its colour and aroma, add the water and blend into the chopped chicken meat in a bowl. Add turmeric, salt and pepper to taste.
Using our hands, lightly moistened the meat mixture with the spices, and once obtaining a nice mixture, form into 4 hamburger patties.
Cut the cucumber into thin slices and add a little ground pepper on top. Cut the sweet bell pepper into slices, add salt, vinegar and marinate for 10-15 minutes.
Lightly oil the grill grate and grill each meat burger patty.
Cut the buns in half and add a slice of cheddar cheese, a bit of endive, 2 or 3 dried tomatoes depending on the size, cucumber slices, and the meat cooked just right as each diner desires and for mayonnaise lovers a dollop of mayonnaise can be added to imbue the hamburger with a more tender and tastier touch.
